Environmental Management System
Inclusion, health and hygiene
Azul Ixtapa Hotels observes and complies with our country’s laws regarding sustainability, inclusion, health and hygiene. And we will continue to forge positive relationships with our stakeholders.
Ecosystems SDG 15
We’ve got a wildlife management unit that deals with conserving and restoring the green and black iguana to the ecosystems of the ecological reserve that is part of Azul Ixtapa Hotels, home to a wide variety of wildlife and endemic flora. We strive to conserve the natural resources in the 11,000 m2 Ecological Reserve and to maintain the extensive variety of flora and fauna.

Sustainable campaigns and initiatives
Azul Ixtapa Hotels fosters initiatives, programs and sustainable campaigns to raise awareness of environmental responsibility among employees, families, guests and the community of Zihuatanejo de Azueta. For example, beach clean-up campaigns are carried out every three months, striving to cut down on pollution while improving the environment by preventing inorganic waste from ending up in the sea.

Cultural inheritance
The Ofrendas (Offering) Contest is held to commemorate the Day of the Dead, where guests and collaborators alike have been involved for more than 13 years. The goal is to foster our traditions and cultural heritage. For the third year in a row, the company has won the Day of the Dead altar contest, run by the Ixtapa – Zihuatanejo Hotel Association.
